This page explains how and why we use cookies on socialmediatoupr.com, including our implementation of Google Consent Mode v2 so that your choices are respected at all times.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences for a defined period of time.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on), functional (language and region), analytics (aggregated, anonymous measurement) and advertising (limited remarketing through Google Ads). Non-essential cookies remain off until you give explicit consent.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with denied defaults (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage). Only after your express consent do Google Ads and GA4 tags adjust their behaviour. We also activate ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough so that no personally identifiable information is transmitted while there is no consent.
4. Managing your consent
You can accept all, reject all or customise category by category from the banner shown on your first visit. If you change your mind, simply clear your browser cookies and the banner will reappear; you can also contact us by email.
5. Third-party cookies
When you consent to analytics or advertising cookies, we may load Google tags (Google Ads and Google Analytics 4). These providers process your data under their own policies, available at policies.google.com.
6. Cookie duration
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies (consent, language) expire between 6 and 13 months, depending on their purpose.
7. Cookies and minors
Our services are addressed to people aged 18 and over. We do not use cookies to profile minors or to target advertising to this group.
8. Updates to this policy
If we change our cookie practices, we will publish the new version on this same page and, if changes are significant, we will display the banner again to collect your consent.
